Kathryn meets some more family

By the time we were able to show Kathryn off to my grandparents at the beginning of March, Eleanor was a week into potty training (or rather her refusing to wear a nappy and quite often clothes aswell!!!) and Kathryn had started sleeping through the night - what a star!! Eleanor's highlight was playing hide and seek with Auntie Susie in her bed and being read to!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Eleanor

Eleanor turned 2 on 22nd February and like last year she had 3 celebrations again! The first was a family meal with both sets of grandparents, Great Grandma, Uncle Rob and Auntie Emily at our local Chinese Restaurant followed by an Upsy Daisy birthday cake (I'm going to pick an easier design next year!). Then the four of us went to Bocketts Farm on her actual birthday and she adored feeding the sheep! Finally she had a small get together with friends which was really just an excuse for a second birthday cake!!!

Oct - Dec 2010

Wow, where have we been??!! Such a lot to update so I'll keep it brief.

Eleanor had her first haircut on 20th October

We celebrated Gran's birthday with all the family in Devon

We had a get together with the Harris side of the family

We made Christmas cards

We saw Father Christmas arrive by horse drawn carriage

Eleanor went to a Christmas party with magician and balloon artist!

Kathryn Anne Bounds finally joined us on 22nd December at 7.17pm weighing 8lb 8oz. She was 11days late and had to be induced, but at least they brought forward the induction date from Christmas Day!!

We went straight from the hospital to spend a lovely relaxing Christmas and New Year with Richard's family.

Eleanor's new bedroom

We finally decided Eleanor should move into a proper bedroom just for her rather than being squeezed into the spare room! This will also leave space for "Baby number 2" when it arrives in December. We still have some pictures to go up on the walls but she was very excited to see everything in there without any extra "junk"!! She especially loves her toy box and mini chair!

September Holiday

We went to the Isle of Wight for 2 weeks in September and Eleanor had a fabulous time with all Richard's family there, especially Bertie Dog!! She loved the ferry crossing over and much to Richard's relief was quite taken with all the sailing boats (not sure how long it will be before he gets her in an Oppie!!). We were lucky enough to have a beach walking distance away and although the weather wasn't always sunny, Eleanor still enjoyed splashing in the sea, building sandcastles and rockpooling - she even held a crab we found! We had some lovely days out too - at the aquarium, botanic gardens, butterfly world, amazon world, steam railway, a falconry session and a lovely afternoon on the stunning Shanklin Beach.

August photo update

Cousin Callum's first birthday party where she stole all his presents and ate most of the chocolate cake!!

Trying to escape a family get together in Devon - she came very close to turning the key!!!

I had my 20 week scan at the end of the month. We decided not to find out if we were having a boy or girl so we will have to wait until December to find out as all being well, that was my last scan before baby joins us!
